Many situations can cause water to flood your carpets. Toilet backups, washing machine lines, foundation leaks and roof leaks are just a few of the instances that can cause problems. First, we extract all of the water from the carpet. Keep in mind the carpet padding is like a sponge and will never dry until you get air flow to it. So we put air blowers under the carpet and on top of the pad. This lifts the carpet and allows the air flow to dry the underneath. We will then fog a disinfectant/mildecide under and over to keep the carpet from mildewing. Usually within 2 to 3 days, the carpet and padding is completely dry.
Please be advised that we are not a restoration company nor do we remediate mold in any way. There are separate companies that do this type of work. We are mainly a first response team that does the initial drying process. Always call your insurance adjuster after we’ve done the initial extraction.
